Helen Brooks Cook

HELEN (BROOKS) COOK, of Strawberry Plains, TN, born January 24, 1926, lived a good life and fought a long battle with cancer, but Jesus called her to her heavenly home on September 2, 2016. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ellie Brooks; son, Dean Cook; husband, Albert Cook; sister, Mildred Morgan; brother, Bobby Brooks. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Betty Samples and Aubrey; grandsons, Stacy Solomon, Marty Solomon and wife Michele; great-grandson, Elijah Solomon; brothers, Robert Brooks and wife Virgie, Frank Brooks and wife Sue; sister, Christine Watkins and husband Bob; sister-in-law, Mildred Brooks; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice and their devoted and loving caregivers, the loving home caregivers for the past five years, to loving caregivers at Trinity Hills Senior Living Center. Graveside service will be held at Piney Grove Cemetery on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Kitts officiating. All friends and family are welcome.
