Helen E. Collins

HELEN E. COLLINS, age 84 of Knoxville, TN passed away Saturday morning, February 10, 2018. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville and the Wynnward Sunday school class and was retired from the International Department of First Tennessee Bank. She was a happy person who never met a stranger. Helen loved dancing, live music, and socializing with her friends and her free time was spent on trips to the beach, reading, and playing cards with family and friends. She loved visiting anywhere new and following the Volunteers. She was devoted to family including her mother Ethel Vesser Beets and sister, Betty Dunham who preceded her in death and her surviving family, sons, Joel (Carol) Collins, and Mark (Cindy) Collins; grandchildren, Carol, Jordan, Jason and Kelly; cousin, Phyllis Moss. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 11:00am at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville with Rev. Ron Wine and Rev. Tom Ogburn officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00am prior to the service. Interment graveside services will be Wednesday afternoon, 2:00pm at the French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to the First Baptist Church of Knoxville, 510 W. Main St., Knoxville, TN 37902.
