Helen Joan Bishop

HELEN JOAN BISHOP, age 78, of Talbott, TN passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Clifford Bishop and Beuna Painter Bishop. She was a graduate of Old Knox High and was employed for over 30 years as Chief Deputy Clerk of the State of Tennessee Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal of Knoxville. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Survived by sister, Julia Bishop Snyder of Talbott. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service with Rev. R. J. Seal officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lebanon Baptist Church, 7925 Greenbriar Road, Talbott, TN 37877 or to the Jefferson County Humane Society, P.O.
