OBITUARY:
HAZEL EZELLE, age 88, of Dandridge, TN passed away on Tuesday morning, February 15, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ezelle; grandsons, Steven and Richard Vaught; and sister, Clercy Bevins. Survived by sons, James Edgar and Earnest (Obera) Vaught of Dandridge; grandchildren Karen (Tracy) Rafalowski of Mt. Carmel, Alisa (Scott) Howerton of Bean Station and Patrick Vaught, now stationed in Iraq; great grandchildren, Abby Rafalowski, Jordan and Taylor Howerton, Ashley and Michelle Vaught; grand daughter-in-law, Tamara Vaught; brother, Garland Whaley of Cleveland, TN; sister, Pearl Whaley of Jefferson County Nursing Home; special niece, Marie Young; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered for her home cooking and friendly smile, having owned and operated the Douglas Lake Grill and Hazel?s Diner in Dandridge for many years. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend K. Tracy Wilson and Dr. Robert A. Young officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.
