Hazel Capps, age 73, of Morristown, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, July 6, 2002, at Heritage Center Nursing Home in Morristown following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Willie Pearl Wilson; brothers, Earl WIlson, Hollis Wilson, and Clarence Wilson; sister, Ruby Whitaker and granddaughter, Darla Elizabeth Capps. She is survived by her husband, Jacob Capps of Morristown; daughters, Kathy (Sheldon) Levine of Alabama and Betty Jo (Jim) Longhenry of Morristown; sons, Darrell L. (Lois) Capps of Talbott and John R. Capps of Morristown; grandchildren, Robert and Lynsey Capps of Sevierville, Chris and Patrick Taylor of Georgia, Jessie Capps of Morristown, Rachel Longhenry of Morristown, and Corbin Trent of Morristown; sisters, Kathleen Hale of Morristown, Christine Keeler of New Market, Imogene Jones of Jefferson City; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Mary Wilson of Harriman; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilson of Oliver Springs; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, July 7, 2002, from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Reverend Jim Turner officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Monday morning, July 8, 2002, at Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
