She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, worked at Milligan Clinic and was a retired LPN from Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Horner; son, Lanny Horner; parents, Isaac and Lillie Mae Bales; and sister, Cleda Hux. Survivors include sons, Keith and Geralene Horner of Rutledge, Jack O. Horner of Talbott; daughter, Mitzi and Von Edmonds of Talbott; daughter-in-law, Linda Horner of Knoxville; grandchildren, Debbie Bowles, Morris Horner, Beth (Craig) Smith, Charlene (Robert) Wolfe, Patty (Doug) Wells and Brent (Heather) Edmonds; step-granddaughters, Jennifer (Craig) Cummings and Jessica (Todd) Kivett; thirteen great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; Barbara Jo Horner, mother of Debbie and Morris; special niece and loving caregiver, Jimmie Harbin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Thanks to Dr. Bill Ramsey and the staff of Life Care of Jefferson City for their loving and special care. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2007 from Pleasant View Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Parrott and Rev. Morris Horner officiating, with the body to lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
