Harry Edward Shelton

HARRY EDWARD SHELTON, age 72, of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his home. Born in Harpers Ferry, WV, he was a U. S. Air Force veteran (Thunder Birds), having served 21 years, was a two time recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also retired from the IRS and recipient of the prestigious Albert Gallitan Award. He was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church. Survived by wife, Yvonne Shelton of Dandridge; children, Sandy Steers of Antioch, CA, Michael Kennedy of Orlando, FL, Allan Shelton of Germantown, MD, Sheryl Nicolson of Knob Noster, MO, Diana Shelton of Riverview, FL; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild;two brothers and two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Central Heights Baptist Church with Reverend Jesse Buell, Reverend Mike Sledge and Brother Jeff Brooks officiating.
