HAL E. THOMAS, age 93, of Jefferson City, TN, who was born on March 7, 1920 passed away on February 27, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Magnavox and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred Thomas; infant daughter, Halley Ernestine; infant great-granddaughter, Halle Belle Ausmus; father and mother, Bill and Alice Thomas; brother, Wayne Thomas; infant brother and sister, Hazel and J. B.; niece, Joyce Deering; brothers-in-law, Jack, Walter and Bob Haynes. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Gearldine Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and James Ledford, Lois and David Patterson, Mona and Lowell Ausmus, Janice Ivy; grandchildren, Tony and Tina Patterson, Kathy Thomas, Angie and Greg Sauceman, Stacy Ausmus, Rodney Sexton, Shannon and Carla Ausmus, Becky and Nick Hurst, and Derek Ivy; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Vivian Thomas, Gerald and Carolyn Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don Howington of Russellville; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Jefferson Health and Rehab in Jefferson City for their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. T. H. Ferrell and Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Graveside interment service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, March 2, 2014 at Farrar Funeral Home.
