HAL B. MAYNARD, age 82, of Rutledge, TN and formerly of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Mossy Creek Lodge # 353 F &AM. He was a member of Morristown Knight Templar. He was past president of IIE of Knoxville. He was retired from ORCAS Power and Light (Washington State) and former employee of Appalachian Electric Cooperative in Jefferson City. He was very active in many civic groups. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Laverne Wolfe Maynard; daughters, Diana Conn of Tipton, MO, Laura Cook of Bonne Terre, MO and Karan West of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Wolfe of Jefferson City, TN; brother-in-law and wife, Joe and Jennice Wolfe of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Reverend Avery Turley officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
