H. DELBERT McGEHE, age 86, of Dandridge, TN passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home. He was born January 12, 1931 in West Palm Beach, FL, the son of the late Douglas and Cecile McGehe. As a youngster, he lived in St. Louis, MO, Dallas and Tyler, Texas, and then in Dubuque, IA, where he graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. He lettered in football, track and basketball and was also a member of the school band. After high school, he played basketball on the Hilldale Dairy team that was city champions for three years and played against the Harlem Globetrotters twice. In 1962, he cofounded Arrow Glass Co. in Urbana, IL, where he worked until his retirement in 1987. Following retirement, he lived in Arkansas until 1997 and then moved to Dandridge, TN, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 66 years, Nancy; sister, Beverly Kennedy. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughters, Connie Hagemeyer, Karen Isenhower, Denise Lauer and Dennis McGehe; brothers, Douglas, Keith and Larry McGehe. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, September 1, 2017, 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Justin Terrell officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00pm prior to services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers to make memorial gifts to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
