Gwendolyn Meeks

Gwendolyn Meeks, age 71 of Talbott, TN and formerly of Jefferson City, TN passed away 2:00 a.m. Saturday, March 07, 2015 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a very active member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Carson-Newman College. She loved helping people and was a very active volunteer in many organizations. Survived by loving husband of 48 years, Harold Meeks, Jr.; son, David (Lisa) Meeks of Marietta, GA; grandsons, Gabriel and Samuel Meeks; sisters, Linda Harvey of Anniston, AL and Susan Watlington of Jackson, TN; nephew, John Smith of Trussville, AL. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Panther Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Danny Hensley officiating. Private interment to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service and also following the service at the church.
