Box 1025 Dandridge, TN 37725 Phone (865) 397-2711 Fax (865) 397-9289 OBITUARY: GRADY TWEED, age 92 years and 11 months, of White Pine, TN and a native of Madison County, North Carolina, passed away at home on Sunday, July 15, 2007. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Motors in Parma, OH. Preceded in death by mother and father, Joseph and Naughty Norton Tweed; mother of his children, Elsa Tweed Jurney; daughter, Reva Tweed Brendsen; infant grandson; grandson, Nathan L. Tweed; granddaughter, Carrie Hall; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by special daughter and son-in-law who cared for him for 21 years, Eva and Allen Murphy of White Pine, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan L. and Rebecca Tweed and of Brookpark, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Don Massengill of Brookpark, OH; daughter, Joyce Ann Malloy of White Pine, TN; daughter, Neva Tweed and Mark of Brookpart, OH; daughter, Treva Debbie Smith and Rodney of Brookpark, OH; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Gentry, Nancy Shelton and Mary Thomas; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Tish and special little dog, Penny. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. The body will then be moved to the Tweed family home in Shelton Laurel, NC where friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening. Graveside funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Tweed Family Cemetery with Brother Roy Tweed officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thompson Cancer Center Tomo Therapy, c/o Foundation Office, 1915 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916.
