Gloria R. McCarter

GLORIA R. McCARTER, age 73, of Dandridge, TN passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon March 12, 2014. She was graduate of Carson-Newman College and received her Masters degree in Library Science from the University of Tennessee. She was member of the Eastern Star for over 55 years and was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Gloria was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James T. McCarter; sons, Thomas McCarter and James (Erika) McCarter; daughter, Wanda Monk; grandchildren, Trystan Beach, Russell Chancey, Luke, Jake and Kimberly Ramsey; 5 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their special thanks to Jackie Brooks and Summer Seals for their love and care for Gloria these last several months. Funeral services, Friday, March 14, 2014, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack McCarter officiating. Interment graveside services, Saturday, 2:00pm at Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
