Glenn E. Mack, 66, of White Pine, a native of Newport passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Heritage Center of Morristown after a lengthy illness. Glenn was a member of Agape Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Men’s Ministry until his failing health. Glenn served in the United States Marine Corps with decorations of the National Defense Service Medal and many letters of commendation for his service. Glenn went on to pursue his education from Tennessee State University with a degree in criminal justice and counseling. Glenn retired from the State of Tennessee.
Glenn is preceded in death by his father; George Mack, Sr. Survivors include his mother; Anna Ruth Mack of Newport, his wife of forty years; Janette Moore Mack, daughter; Samantha Mack of Nashville, TN, sons; Glenn Mack, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Marcus Rogers of Rogersville, TN, brothers; George (Willie) Mack of Morristown, TN, James (Gloria) Pruitt, Dewey Mack and Timothy Mack all of Newport, sisters; Donna Jean (Gerald) Bellamy of San Diego, CA and Gale Mack of Atlanta, GA. Also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Heritage Center for their care and special thanks to his devoted brother George for his tireless love and time during Glenn’s illness.
Funeral services will be at Thursday, July 16, 2015, 3:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with visitation from 2-3:00pm prior to the service, Rev. Carl Bragg and Rev. Bobby Kitts officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
