Glenn Harvey Davis

Glenn Harvey Davis, 75, native of Morton, MS, and longtime resident of Jefferson City, TN, passed away on Dec. 23, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, TN after a sudden illness. He was a long time employee of Magnavox; longtime member of Manley Baptist Church where he was very active in the church, and was also very active with the Gideons. Glenn was an avid golfer and member of the Rotary Club. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, Perry Earl Davis and Fannie Mae Waltman Davis of MS; brother, Edwin Earl, and sister, Jean. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Alan (Mick) Davis of Jefferson City, TN, and Monte Andrew Davis of Philadelphia, PA; daughters-in -law, Julia Ann Phillips Davis and Melanie Wasmann Davis, respectively; two beloved grandsons, Phillip Hunter Davis and Michael Hayden Davis of the residence; one sister, Patsy Ruth; and two brothers, Billy Ray and Robert Earl. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN, at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013, with Rev. Richard Emmert officiating.
