Gladys Gladson Winstead

GLADYS GLADSON WINSTEAD, age 88, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She volunteered many years at Hillhaven Healthcare and also New Market Volunteer Fire Department. She and her husband, Euel, were the owners and operators of Cherokee Shell and Towing for many years. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by husband, Euel Winstead; parents, Jesse V. Gladson and Grace Lea Elkins Gladson; son-in-law, William Jack Lowe; sisters, Nell Gladson Haynes and Theda Gladson Caswell. She is survived by daughter, Betty Lowe; granddaughter and husband, Jamie and Chris Monroe; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Emma and Karsyn Monroe, and Cooper Jack Aldridge; twin brother, Dick Gladson and wife, Jeanette; sister, Jean Clark; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Sledge officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Rev. Dennis Alder officiating.
