GLADYS J. THOMPSON, age 89, of White Pine, TN went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, June 6, 2012. She was a faithful member of the Leadvale Baptist Church for 65 years. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Pearlie Mae (Bryant) Templin and was preceded in death by husband, J.P. Thompson; brothers, Bill, Orville, Cecil and Charlie Templin and sister, Bertie McCoig. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, James E. ?Jimmy? and Lois Thompson of Morristown; daughter and special friend, Donna Ruth Thompson and Chris Worthington of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Missy Thompson of Bean Station and Yvonne Taylor and special friend, Brent Mathis of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Justin and Shanteen Kingsbury of Knoxville and great-great granddaughter, Jemma; ? special grandson?, Brian Sinard; sister, Margaret Hall of White Pine and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family wishes to extend a special ?Thank You? to Amedisys Hospice for the exemplary care they provided. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Leadvale Baptist Church, (Parking Lot and/or Church Library Fund) 874 Leadvale Church Rd., White Pine, TN 37890 or the Amedisys Hospice Care, 1423 West Morris Blvd., Ste. C, Morristown, TN 37813. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, 8:00pm at the Leadvale Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Charles Robison officiating. Interment graveside services, Sunday 2:00pm at White Pine Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening, 5:00 to 8:00pm prior to services at the church.
