GLADYS MORRISETT MILLER, age 84, of Jefferson City, TN died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville, TN after a short illness. Mrs. Miller was retired from Douglas Cherokee Neighborhood Center. She was a member of George Street United Methodist Church and supported Jefferson City Church of God. Gladys was one of the original Secret City "Oak Ridge Girls" during World War II. She had been involved for several years with genealogy and has made friends throughout the United States and England helping them with their research on family history. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford ( Cracky) Miller; parents, Jack and Lillie Mae Morrisett; brother, Bud Morrisett and sister, Frances Morrisett Daniels. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jack and Katherine Miller of Crossville, TN, Robert Dhal (Dink) and Faye Miller of Blountville, TN; grandchildren, Cliff and Libby Miller of Greenville, SC, Rod and Lisa Miller of Kernerville, NC, Monica and Mike Anderson of Bluff City, TN; great grandchildren, Logan and Marissa Miller, Seth and Kyle Anderson, Alice Katharine Miller; special niece and friend, Patsy Daniels Ebert; brothers, Joe Morrisett, Alfred Morrisett and J. C. Morrisett; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Pastor Walter Isbell officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. John Zirkle for his many years of caring. Also Lisa Large and Faye Johnson of Home Health Agency for their help and care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Jefferson City Church of God.
