Gladys Marshall McGhee

GLADYS MARSHALL MCGHEE, age 96, of New Market, TN passed away Friday, March 20, 2009 at her home. She was a life long member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Earl McGhee; son Buddy and daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by sons, Frank and L. H. of New Market, Roger of Texas; daughters, Shirley Strong of PA, Betty Hickle and Christine Dalton, both of New Market, and Earlene Cruze of Clinton; 18 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Nina B. Howard and Cora Etherton; and a host of cousins. Funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hobbs and Rev. Johnny Mills officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City to proceed to Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Beaver Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Minnie Schrader, 1501 Beaver Creek Road, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871.
