Gilford "Gil" Lynn Bowman

GILFORD LYNN “GIL” BOWMAN, age 92 of Dandridge, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dandridge, Brazelton Lodge #190 F.&AM, and Order of the Eastern Star #438. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and the Korean Conflict. He retired from South Central Bell after 31 years of service and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and woodworking. Gilford is survived by his wife of 71 years, Billie (Burnette) Bowman; children, Randy (Trish) Bowman, Rusty (Cynthia) Bowman, Frankie Wilhite, Kerry Bowman; grandchildren, Ryan Wilhite, Cody Wilhite, Kellee Harrington, Jacob Bowman, and Felicia Storey; great-grandchildren, Natalie Storey, Easton and Eli Harrington; nieces, Jamie Knowling and Brenda Liford. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 12:30pm at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Justin Terrell officiating. Members of the Pares and Spares Sunday school class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
