GERALDINE (GERI) CATE, age 74 a resident of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home passed away, Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was born July 9, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC the daughter of the late Ernest and Ann Deaton and was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Brian Cate; sister, Patricia Garcia; brother, Joe Deaton. Her survivors include her daughter, Angela Ross; grandchildren, Candice and Evin Cole, Heather Woodby; great-grandchildren, Catherine, Alexander and Natalie Cole; brothers, Ernest and Becky Deaton, Steven Deaton and Tom Deaton; several nieces and nephews.
