She was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Pine, and was an active member of the Lakeway Area Personnel Group, which she started. She was the founder of the Multiple Scherosis Support Group of the Lakeway Area. Member of Beta Sigma Phi, Eastern Star, member of the executive board of M.A.T.S., and was the owner of Helton Specialties. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Lester Jones; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Rose McCoig; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred (Stopper) and Bertie McCoig. She is survived by her husband, Joe Mccoig; son, Tony McCoig and Shannon; mother, Louise Jones; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Carolyn McCoig; sister-in-law, Bobbie Hair; special friends, Janice Raines and Jackie Holloway. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Adventa Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Rev. Brian Osborne, Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at White Pine Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
