"JERRY" FRENCH, age 58, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, June 23, 2008 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, an employee of Averitt Express Company and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp and the Vietnam Conflict. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Kenneth and Una Faye Whillock French; brother, Edgar French. He is survived by wife, Vickie Rickard French; step-son, Jason (Brandi) Howard of Talbott; step-daughter, Brandy (Rocky) McBee of Rutledge; step-grandsons, Bryce, Hunter, and Reggie McBee, Jamal Spradlin and Jayden Howard; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Curt Woods; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Hazel Rickard; sister-in-law, Yvonne French; several nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Pam Wyrick and Tracy Brock; brother-in-law, Chris (Tammy) Rickard. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Bob Neal officiating. Interment to follow in Piedmont Cemetery with military honors by East Tennessee Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Thompson Cancer Survival Center, 1915 White Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916, or Piedmont Cemetery Fund, 887 W.
