GERALD R. COX, age 76, of Jefferson City, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He retired from New Jersey Mines and Asarco Mines. Preceded in death by his daughter, Judy; parents, Paul A. Cox and Jessie Gaylon Cox; brothers, W. A. Cox and Roscoe Cox; and sister, Goldie Herron. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; sons, Jerry (Tammie) Cox and Jeffrey (Michelle) Cox; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nycole, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Averrie, Ridley and Elliot; brothers, Riley (Alma) Cox, Herbert (Mary) Cox; sister, Betty Johnson; sister-in-law, Cecilia Cox; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Flynn officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
