GEORGIE LANE MANNING, age 74, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Monday, August 22, 2005 at her home. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Manning; parents, Fred and Alice Lane; sister, Jewel Eslinger; and brothers, Jim and Jerry Lane. Survived by daughters, Jo Carolyn Manning of the home and Brenda Gail Pettit of Jenkinsburg, GA; and close friend, Eddie Ford; sons, Darrell Manning and wife, Shirley of Dandridge, Phillip Dale Manning of the home; brothers, Robert "R.E." Lane of Sevierville and Roy Lane of Dandridge; sisters, Lucy benson and husband, Bob of Sevierville; Wanda Sue Breeded and husband, J. D. of White Pine; brother-in-law, Everett and Mary E. Manning of Dandridge; sister-in-law, Mary W. and Leonard Collins of Morristown; grandchildren, LeAnne Gilbert of Jenkinsburg, GA, Justin and Christopher Manning of Dandridge, Anthony Manning of Sevierville, Andy and wife, Holly Pettit fo Locust Grove, GA and Barry Jobe of Johnson City; two great grandsons, Austin and Chase Gilbert; two great granddaughters, Ireland Gilbert and Morgan Pettit; several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends and special friends of Dollywood. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Terry Greene and Rev. James Seal officiating. Graveside interment service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hills Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
