GEORGE WILLIAM WOODS, age 68 of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 5:45 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2005 at his residence following a long term illness. He was saved at Mt. Vale Church of God and was retired from Magnavox Corporation with 30 years of service. Preceded in death by wives, Helen Woods and Mary Jane Woods; son, Brian Woods; parents, Carl and Rosa White Woods; brothers, Clifford, James and Ray Woods; sister, Kathleen Nolen. Survived by daughters, Debbie Woods of Jefferson City and Bridget Woods of Russellville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Audrea and David Hux of Morristown; son, Tony Woods of Jefferson City; step-son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Loretta Beck of Bulls Gap; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Danielle Woods of Jefferson City; son, A. J. Woods of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Jonathan Woods, Shannon Bradley, Isaac Shipley, Bryan and Travis Townsend, Tristen, Steven and Mary Jane Woods, Austin Breeden, Shane Hux, Britany Holt, Brandon Holt and Zak Beck; great brandchildren, Devin Bradley, Shantelle Bradley, Mackenzie Bradley and Taylor Haire; brother, Carl (Louise) Woods; sisters, Betty Jean (Clyde) Cox of Jefferson City and Hattie Smith of Jefferson City; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2005 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend t. H. Ferrell and Reverend David Hux officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the funeral home to proceed to Mt. View Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
