Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: GEORGE "SONNY" MOORE, age 72, of Talbott, TN, passed away on Wednesday evening, December 13, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville from a sudden illness. He was a member and deacon of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he had been an early service greeter for several years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, retired from BTR in Maryville, and was active in the Jefferson City and New Market Senior Citizens. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bessie Moore and sister, Mary Moore. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Bettis Moore; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sue Moore of Jefferson City, Patrick and Jennifer Moore of New Market; grandchildren, Kevin Brooks, Brittni Moore, Hayden Moore and Hayley Moore; cousin, Jean Kinsler; very special aunt, Nettie Kinder; special sister-in-law, Jewell Kerr; and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian (Mt. Horeb) Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral service at the church.
