George Sonny Hendricks

GEORGE SONNY HENDRICKS, age 88, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on May 4, 2018 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a former employee of Magnavox and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean War. After returning from military service, he returned to school and graduated from Nelson Mary High School. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beulah Willis Hendricks; daughter, Marilyn Sonnette; and eleven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Joan Hendricks; daughters, Marva Darlene Hendricks, Martha Charlene Hendricks, and Mary Emily Hendricks; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, William B. Hendricks; sister, Noami Boyce; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Bernice Osborne and Rev. Nathaniel Wilson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
