FRANKLIN, age 81, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday morning, December 4, 2005 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a prominent life long farmer of Jefferson County, a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Navy aboard the SS Louisville. Member of the Dandridge V.F.W. Post # 3380. Survived by wife, Harriet Bledsoe Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Donnie Williamson of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Ginger Franklin, and Dale and Evetta Franklin, all of Dandridge; grandchildren, Beverly and Walter Thompson, Vic Shrader, Todd Shrader, Cindy and Andrew Butler, Mark and Kim Franklin, Brent and Karen Franklin; great grandchildren, Ashlie Shrader, Tyler Thompson, Chandler Thompson, Savannah Butler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Bob Neal and Brother Charles Shipley officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Grants Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005 at the funeral home.
