George H. "G.H." Collins

George H. "G.H." Collins, age 66, of Route 5, Rutledge, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. He was a member of Buffalo Grove Baptist Church and a former member of New Blackwell Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Berkline Corporation of Morristown after 35 years of service. For many years, Mr. Collins was faithful to transport the equipment for the Rutledge High School Band. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. Collins, Sr. and Callie Hysel "Peggy" Collins; mother in law and father in law, Aaron and Stella McDaniel. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Celia McDaniel Collins of the home; daughter and son in law, Kathy and James Wilson of Rutledge; sister and brother in law, Glynda and Ken Beeler of Knoxville; brother and sister in law, Gale and Evelyn Collins of Moorehead City, North Carolina; brothers in law and sisters in law, Glenn McDaniel, Oma and J. C. Brooks, Ersa Jarnigan and Ruth McDaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, also those he loved as his family: Beulah Foster, Wanda Carter, Mark Reneau, Paul and Kristin Reneau James, Emily Wilson, Laura and Madison Macka, Kent Stephens, Becky, Terry and Kayla Burchell, Jim Copeland and Tommy Wolfenbarger. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 from the Buffalo Grove Baptist Church with Rev. T. H. Ferrell and Rev. John Pinkston officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. R. Michael Wiseman, Dr. Surlin Ramaprasad, Dr. Rajew Gupta, Dr. Michael Tan, Nursing Staff of CCU, ICU 4th Floor South of Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, and the Hospital Volunteer Workers. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
