George J. Cody

George J. Cody, age 73 of White Pine, TN passed away at UT Medical Center on Monday, November 9, 2009. George was devoted to his family, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; Lon Bert and Gladys Reece Cody; brother-in-law, Bill Russell; and daughter, Joyce O?Dell. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Brenda J. Cody; children, Bonnie Cody, Billy (Teresa) Cody, Mike (Laura) Cody, Danny (Faye) Dockery, Brian (Carol) Dockery, Darlene (Mark) Thornburg, Ricky (Susie) Dockery;15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jean Russell, Donald (Brenda) Cody, Bobbie (Ray) Brennan, Carolyn Cody and Dale, Lynn (Stephine) Cody; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 8:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. Doug King and Rev. Ray Wiley officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family, friends and pallbearers are asked to meet at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 10:30am to go in procession to Hillcrest Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
