George Preston Cate

George Preston (Mountain Man) Cate,age 54 of Kingston, TN, passed away on May 30, 2003 at Kingston. He was a member of Dumplin Baptist Church and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, T. S. Cate; mother, Pearl Cate Haynes; brothers, Tommy R. Cate and T. S. Cate, Jr; sister, Mable K. Dillinger. He is survived by his sons, Gregory S. Cate of Knoxville, TN and Preston Wayne Cate of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Olivia Deseree' Cate of Jacksonville, FL and Tine Woods of New Market, TN; granddaughter, Amanda Marie Cate; sister and also a loving second mother, Jane Owsley of Corryton; sisters, Betty Jessie of Sevierville, Nancy Church of Orlando, FL, Ruth Henderson if Texas and Grace Gann of New Market, TN; brothers, Coulbert Cate of Knoxville, C. H. Cate of New Market, Harry Cate of Morristown and Kenneth Cate of New Market; special nephews, Raymond and Russell Cate; several other nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003 at the Cate Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Cate officiating.
