Gay (Big Mom) C. Warren

GAY C. WARREN (BIG MOM), age 83, of Knoxville, TN passed away on September 14, 2016 after a brief illness. Gay grew up in Jefferson City, TN and graduated from Carson Newman College and Duke University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Gay spent her entire career as a physical therapist in Knoxville, first at St. Mary’s Hospital and then at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital, where she retired in 1996. Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Paul and Gladys Clark; and brother, Bill Clark. Gay is survived by her son, Scott Warren (Sandy); grandson, Bobby Warren (Amber); great-grandchildren, Andy and Clara Jo Warren; sister-in-law, Dottie Clark; and nephews, Steve and Doug Clark. The family would like to thank the staff of 4th floor Riverstone at Park West Hospital and Fresenius Medical Cedar Bluff for all the wonderful care and kindness shown to Gay. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Family will have a gathering of friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Private interment will be held at a later date.
