Gary James

Gary James, age 66, of White Pine, TN passed away at Jefferson Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 9, 2012. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He attended Mt. Zion Church of God in Baneberry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Nova James; brother, William James and sister, Ella Grant. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Buckner James; sons, Cletus Gary James, Richard Matthew James and Travis Dwayne (Greta) James; grandsons, Christian Lee James, Matthew Samuel James, Noah Dwayne James and Nathaniel Autry James God daughters, Selina Sherry Strong and Daphne Michelle Tollett; brother, Carl (Brenda) James; sisters, Brenda (Boone) Kelley, Elma (Charlie) Buckner, Dean James and Vanessa James; several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. The family would like to express a special Thank You to UT Home Health in Newport and to one of his nurses, Maggie (Marvin) Keys. Funeral Services will be held in Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine Chapel at 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 11, 2012, with the Rev. George Askew officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service. Military Graveside Service will held at 12 noon on Monday, November 12, 2012 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with VFW Post #5266 officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donation be made to help with Gary?s hospital bills, which can be mailed to: Linda James, 270 Idlewild Dr. White Pine, TN 37890.
