GAIL REESE POTTS, age 68, went to meet her Lord and Savior on September 2, 2023 after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer and kidney failure. Gail was a strong woman of faith and loved her church and her church family of Swannsylvania Baptist Church. Gail was a loyal friend to many and her smile brightened everything. Gail was a 1973 graduate of Maury High School and continued her education at Walters state Community College. She worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Dale Bryant. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Ruel and Mable Reese. Gail is survived by her (favorite) and devoted sister, Barbara Reese Engel and husband Bob; along with many wonderful family, friends, classmates, and neighbors who have fought this battle with Gail every step of the way. Special thanks to vigilant friends who visited nightly, and wonderful neighbors who cared for her pets and property. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home, 162 E. Meeting Street, Dandridge, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Road, Dandridge, TN with Pastor Andy Henard officiating. Graveside interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Life Care Center of Jefferson City, 336 W. Old Andrew Johnson Highway, Jefferson City, TN 37760. This is where Gail spent her last days and was blessed by many wonderful caregivers.
