FREDERICK CLAYTON BURGWARDT III, age 71 of New Market, TN passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Hambury, NY, the son of the late Frederick C. and Florence Beck Burgwardt, Jr. Fred earned a post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology in Postdam, NY. He taught there for several years and at Rochester Institute of Technology in rocheste, NY. He also worked for Xerox Corp. as Technical Trainer and before retiring, wrote techincal training and operational manuals on a free-lance basis. He served a short term in the military under toe R.O.T.C. program after college. He and his wife Janet moved to East Tennessee 10 years ago and became active members of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church, where he and his wife were coordinators of the Dandridge Ministerial Assoc. Food Pantry, serving southern Jefferson County for 4 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Barnes Burgwardt and his children; daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law, James Bus of Allentown, PA and son, frederick P. Burgwardy and daughter-in-law, Janet of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Michelle Bus, Tiffany Bus, Kathryn Bus, tony Bus, Paul Burgwardt and Erick Burgwardt. Memorial serivces will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at 4 p.m. at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry DeVault officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 until 4 p.m prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the DMA Food Pantry, c/o Dr. Robert McCray, PO Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725 or to the Dandridge First United Methodist Church, Libray Fund, Po Box 8, Dandridge, TN 37725.
