FREDDIE MARIE YOUNG, age 62, died from a lingering illness on December 26, 2017. She is preceded in death by her father, Olen West; mother-in-law, Redie England. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Edward Young; mother, Ruby C. West; brother, Robert West; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Steve Cline; sister-in-law, Linda J. West; brother and sister-in-law, Pearl and Ruth Taylor; brother-in-law, Clyde Taylor; sisters-in-law, Sylvie Johnson, Rachel Bailey, Kathline Martin and Goldie Leal; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Ira Gardner Jr and Rev. David Dorn officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
