Freddie Carroll Ray, age 53, of Rutledge departed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. Freddie was a veteran of Dessert Storm, serving his country proudly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Howard, grandfather, Pete Ray. Freddie is survived by his son, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Ray of Russellville; daughter, Kasi (Skylar) Richardson of Hugo, OK, father, Carrol (Judy) Ray of Whitesburg; sisters, Angie Ray of Newport, Lora (Stacey) Smith of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Tristan, Jack, and Allie Richardson of Oklahoma; grandmothers, Ruth Ray and Dorothy Howard; uncle, Jeff Howard; aunts, Peggy Trent and Susie Morris; great aunts, Gladys Eidson and Bobbie Strange; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends; very special friend, Robin Arteburn, special family friends the LW family and Kathy Waldrop and family. Friends may pay their respects at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm on Sunday, August 9, 2020. A military Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00am in White Pine Cemetery.
