FREDDIE MAE DEBOSE, of Jefferson City, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City. She was born November 11, 1910 in Hope Hull, Alabama to the late Anthony Lee Russell and Lula (Bandy) Russell, one of eighteen children. She was a member of Martha Davis Baptist Church. All but one sister has preceded her in death. She united in marriage with Ulyss Debose on May 4, 1931 and was married until death did part in December, 1999. She was preceded in death by the niece she raised, Donzie (Russell) Greene. Before making her home in Jefferson City, she retired from Harlan County Hospital after many years of service in Harlan, Kentucky. She is survived by the children she raised, Robert (Mary Ann) Greene of Talbott, Hugh (Cynthia) Greene of Portsmouth, Ohio, Mary Elizabeth Sanford of Portsmouth, OH, Myra (Thomas) Dunson of Harlan, KY, and Ernest (Geneva) Cole; a sister, Shirley (Glenn) Harbin of Harlan, KY, and a devoted cousin, Elder Willie Lamb. She also leaves sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Nathaniel Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
