REV. FRED W. WALKER, SR., age 95, of Dandridge, TN went to be with his heavenly father on December 11, 2015 following an extended illness. He was born February 13, 1920, the son of the late S.G. and Selma (Killion) Walker, Sr. He was a native of Jefferson County, TN, and while attending high school he received his calling to the Lord that took him to Bethel College University for a degree in Theology. He served the Lord in many churches as a member of the U.S. Presbyterian faith. Rev. Walker was an active minister for 47 years and then retired back home to Jefferson County to enjoy his retirement and activities, such as working as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Sara B. (Matthews) Walker; son, James Walker; daughter, Mary Bowman Walker; brother, S.G. Walker, Jr. of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Mary Louise Lawson of Knoxville, TN, and Effie Cox of Dandridge, TN. Preceded in death by his son, Fred W. Walker, Jr. A funeral service with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery was held December 12, 2015. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating the life of Rev. W. Walker, Sr. held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, 4:00pm at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church of Dandridge. ARRANGEMENTS BY FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
