Fred Carter Miller

Fred Carter Miller, age 85, of Morristown, TN passed away September 4, 2011. He was a Southern Baptist Christian. He was a WWII veteran, serving 20 years in the U. S. Navy, where he served on the USS Willoghby and was a Sea Bee. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.C. and Ruth Miller; sister, Merna Miller; brothers, Glen and Carl Miller. He is survived by daughters, Flora Ruth Miller and Barbara Anest, both of Jefferson City, TN; three grandchildren, Lea Ann Seal of Strawberry Plains, TN, Robert Anest of Morristown, TN, and Cynthia Stokes of Pembroke, KY; nephew, Jimmie Miller; and siste,r Katherine Baker of New Market, TN and Florida. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Anest officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Piedmont Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Keith Mowry officiating.
