Fred Melvin McLean

Fred Melvin McLean, age 64, of White Pine, TN passed away after a short battle with cancer at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 21 years, Janie Darlene Spence McLean, and his parents, Vernon and Evelynn McLean. He is survived by his children, daughter, April (Jacob) Shaffer, and son Melvin Scott Spence; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kristyn. He also leaves his beloved dog Snoopy; his brothers, Mike and Jerry; sisters, Jeanie, Janet, Sandra and Susan; also several nieces and nephews, and beloved in-laws. Freddy worked at Universal Bedroom Furniture for 16 years, BOS Automotive for 8 years and Wellco/Original Footwear until his retirement. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Jefferson City Health and Rehab, Caris Hospice Care for the wonderful care they took of Freddy. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, 6:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home , White Pine, with the Rev. Vincent Askew and Rev. Sam Tipton officiating, Family will receive friends from 4-6:00pm prior to the service. Graveside Interment will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
