FRED E. DeBORD, age 84, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday morning, October 20, 2018 following a short illness. He was born September 16, 1934 in White Pine, TN, the son of the late Clarence and Kate DeBord and was preceded in death by his son, Freddie DeBord; granddaughter, Julia Kate DeBord; sister, Frances DeBord. Fred was a retired security guard with Magnavox, veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Korean Conflict, member of the Leadvale Baptist Church, Brazelton Lodge # 190 F. & AM, Kerbela Temple and the Jefferson Co. Shrine Club where he served as transport driver to the Shrine Children’s Hospitals. He is survived by his children, Danny DeBord, Michael (Patty) DeBord, Melanie (Joe) Zuchowski and Misty (Russ) House; brother, Donald DeBord; grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Kristina, Dylan, Jonathan, Abbey, Belle, Maya, Robert and Nicole; special friend, Jewell Lawson. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Kerbela Shriners, P.O. Box 868, Knoxville, TN 37901. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, October 27, 2018, 3:00pm at Leadvale Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Interment to follow at White Pine Cemetery.
