Franklin “Frankie” Henry Ward, age 74 of Jefferson City, TN went home to Heaven on February 1, 2025, following a short illness. Frankie owned and operated Wards Auto Repair for more than 25 years and served on Rutledge City Council for 10 years. He was an avid junk hunter and frequent visitor of Morristown Iron and Metals. Frankie was a devoted husband, father, and papaw and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ward, parents, Jack and Helen Ward, brothers, Jimmy Wayne Ward and Dickie Ward, infant sister, Elizabeth Ward, and granddaughter, Grace Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia Ward, daughters, Sandy (Grant) King, and Mandy (Joe) Mills, children by marriage, Melissa (Charlie) Miller, and Michael Horner and family, grandchildren, Megan Ward, Ava King, Emma King, Michael Ward, Taylor (Eric) Baxmann, and great-grandson, Grayson Baxmann, brothers, Tommy and Leroy Ward, sister, Mary Katherine “Tootsie” Crowe, and sister-in-law, Lorene Ward.
Pallbearers include, Grant King, Joe Mills, Charlie Miller, Eric Baxmann, Michael Horner, and Dwayne Ward.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hopsice Care for their compassion during this time.
Graveside interment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery with Tom Kovacs officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
