FRANK E. RHOTON, age 93, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 9:35 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, an active member of Mossy Creek Lodge #353 F&AM, and a member of both Scottish and York Rite. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army with the rank of sergeant. He was retired Quality Control Manager from Magnavox Corp. with 30 years of service, was the owner of the Old Main Street Pool Hall, and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Rhoton; parents, Albert and Edna Rhoton; brother, Jake Rhoton; and sister-in-law, Geneva Rhoton. He is survived by his shared daughter, Terri Doughty and his shared son, David Patterson; special friends, Steve Doughty and Doris Patterson; special caregiver, Lonnie Cash and many friends too numerous to list. Masonic funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service will full military honors. The family would like to give a special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice for their care and compassion during Frank's illness.
