He was a member of Millwrights Local 1544, Nashville, and AAF, Dave Carter Field Representative. He also enjoyed flying airplanes. Preceded in death by parents, Frank McCoig and Louise Dennis McCoig. He is survived by wife, Sandi McCoig; step-children, Dana Davis of Galveston, TX and Damon Thomas of Cleveland, TN; uncles, Ed Wood and James McCoig of White Pine; cousins, Dennis Wood and sons of Morristown, Hugh Tate Wood and son of White Pine, "Slugg" Dennis and daughter of Nashville; Diane Rosenbaum and family of Morristown; several other cousins and family members; best friends, Marvin Ford, Gary Ashley, Randy McGaha, J. D. Helton, Little Dave, Dave Carter and Barbara Ann Parton. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 from the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Reverend Johnny Hayes and Reverend Richard Carter officiating.
