Frances Helen Wambaugh

Frances Helen Wambaugh, age 83 of Fountain, FL passed away on Saturday, June 3rd,

2023 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents David and Louvena Smith, son

Steve Wambaugh, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by daughter Dorothy

Green, daughter in law Darlene Wambaugh, grandsons Gunter (Kari) Wambaugh, Kirk

Wambaugh (Jackie), granddaughter Simona Strickland (Tim), great grandchildren Hailey

Strickland, Austin Strickland, Hannah Wambaugh, Vanessa Wambaugh and Jeremiah

Wambaugh, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. She graduated from Parrotsville High School in 1958. She enlisted in the Marine Corps right after graduation and was in the “Pride of the Volunteers”, the first all female group to enlist from Tennessee. She was an avid animal lover and would go out of her way to ensure their well-being. Her faith was strong and sustained her throughout her life.

The family will receive friends at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, TN , Tuesday, June 13th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed immediately with a graveside service at Point Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor James Tullock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Frances requests that donations be made to Daily Bread in Morristown or CARE animal shelter in Jefferson City.
