Floyd William Case

On September 17th, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children, Floyd William Case Sr. peacefully took the hand of Jesus, his Savior, and went to his heavenly home. Floyd was born April 17, 1937 to John Henry and Cecil Case of Jefferson City, TN. Floyd began his career in the United States Army in 1956. He was stationed in Fort Hood, TX, Fort Lee, VA, and Fort Gordon, GA. He ended his military career as a sergeant and Post Master in 1959. While based at Fort Gordan, Floyd met Becky McLelland on a blind date, they fell in love and were married on August 24, 1958 in Hephzibah, GA. Floyd worked at America Enka, BASF, and Linzing Corporation in Lowland, TN for 35 years. Floyd was a faithful member of Grants Chapel UMC in Dandridge, TN. Floyd loved his family, he had a kind and giving heart. All that knew Floyd loved him. Floyd was proceeded in death by his daughter, Vivian Case; parents, John Henry Case and Cecil Case-Cantwell and his brother, John Case. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Becky Case of Dandridge, TN; his cherished children, Bill Case of Dandridge, TN, Connie Inman and husband, Eddie of Morristown, TN, Danny Case and wife, Marie of Morristown, TN, and Joe Case and wife, Retha of Greeneville, TN. His beloved grandchildren, Beth and Tyler Sloan of Morristown, TN, Will Case of Morristown, TN, Noah Case of Greeneville, TN, and Reed Case of Greeneville, TN. And his precious great-grandchildren, Maddie and Maci Sloan. Floyd’s brothers and sisters, Jackie Case and wife, Noy of Crossville, TN, Don Case of Morristown, TN, Phyllis Clevenger and husband, David of Jefferson City, TN, Glenda Cornett and husband, Ira of New Market, TN and Ann Cantwell of Bean Station, TN; brother-in-law, Sam McLelland of Jacksonville, FL and sister-in-law, Sue Hobbs of Jefferson City, TN. Friends and family will gather at 1:45pm Monday, September 21, 2020 at Grants Chapel Cemetery for a 2:00pm graveside service with military honors by VFW Post 5266 with the Reverend Darrell Chambers, Reverend Dr. Vanessa Trice-Wallace and Charlie Shipley officiating. Friends may call Sunday, September 20, 2020 between 1:00pm and 5:00pm at the funeral home in Dandridge. The family wishes to thank the Jefferson County Rescue Squad, FMC Dialysis of New Market, Amedisys Hospice and everyone for the prayers and kind words.
