Everett Bridges Jr.

Everett “Bud” Bridges, Jr., formerly of Morristown, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Perrysburg, OH, at the age of 89. He was born in Elk Valley, TN on September 29, 1935. Everett was the son of Everett and Ella Murray Bridges.

Everett was a Level 5 Communications Technician, retiring from AT&T with 34 years of service. He was a former President of the Telephone Pioneers and was a 32° Mason, with the Masonic Lodge 231 in Morristown, TN. Everett had a passion for electronics, which eventually turned into a hobby of building computers for himself and others.

Everett is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bridges, and his children, Diana Evans (Dave) of Perrysburg, OH, Joe Bridges (Vonna) of Ronda, NC, and Catherine Rigel (Tom) of Bowling Green, OH, and grandchildren, Kellie, David, Adam, Thomas, Lauren and Josie. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Bridges, an infant daughter, Carolyn Colleen Bridges, grandson, Jeremiah Bridges, and great-grandson, Addison Bridges, sisters, Mary Kathern “Kitty” Ellis Miller and Ruth Boggs, and brother, JB Bridges.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Kirby officiating. Family and friends will gather after the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an entombment service.
