Evelyn McKinney

Evelyn Juanita Stepp McKinney of White Pine peacefully passed on to her heavenly home March 12th at Jefferson Park White Pine. Evelyn, 93, was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, E.H. McKinney Jr., parents Seldon and Anna Victoria Stepp, and brothers Seldon Stepp Jr. and Douglas Alan Stepp.

She is survived by her son Marlon McKinney and wife Rhonda of Atlanta GA, granddaughters Megan McKinney of Knoxville and Lauren Miller & husband Phil of Nashville, and their mother Rebecca Keathley, precious great grandson Cohen Miller, Evelyn’s special cousin Bobbie Strange of White Pine and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a proud and dedicated member of Statem Gap Baptist Church for 60 years. Evelyn will be remembered for her trust in the Lord and her wonderful Christian temperament as well as love for her family.

The family would like to thank her wonderful caregiver Amy Carter who treated Evelyn like a member of her own family for the past few years. Additional thanks to the staff at Jefferson Park, White Pine including Jackie, Janet, Keysa, Lavonia, Andrea, Jenni and Adriaenne. Thanks also to the Smoky Mountain Hospice team.

The family will receive friends at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine from 5-7 pm Friday, March 14, 2025 with funeral service to follow with Pastor Benny Jones officiating. Graveside services will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 am in White Pine Cemetery.
